Syeda Marzia in her B.Sc. research was focused on interactions between physicochemical parameters in groundwater aquifer in Bangladesh. The multivariate statistical techniques [principal component analysis (PCA), cluster analysis (CA)] were applied to a dataset containing major ion (Na, K, Ca, Mg, Fe, As, PO4-, HCO3- etc) concentrations in groundwater samples collected from a number of wells located at different flood plains in Bangladesh. She also working on the seismic response of isolated bridge structures subjected to moderate and strong earthquake is evaluated using time history analysis. The study concentrates mainly on evaluating the peak shear forces and isolator displacement.
