        • * Management, planning, organization of laboratory facilities and utilities, scheduling of works, procurement of equipment and spares, operation and repair/maintenance of the 3 MeV Van de Graaff Accelerator and associated systems such as Liquid Nitrogen plant, Water chiller and other laboratory equipment and utilities, etc.
        • * Development of Ion Beam Analysis (IBA) techniques Proton Induced Gamma Emission (PIGE), Rutherford Backscattering Spectrometry (RBS), Nuclear Reaction Analysis (NRA), etc. with the 3 MV Van de Graaff Accelerator and their applications in human health and environmental studies and development of technologically important materials.
        • * Installation/commissioning and repair/maintenance of nuclear and related instrumentation systems and equipment such as radiation and particle detectors, data acquisition and processing systems, sample preparation equipment, etc.
        • * Support for higher academic activities and supervision of PhD, MPhil. and MSc. research works.

 

(iii) Project experience

 

 

  1. Set up of the 3MV Tandem Accelerator under ADP of the government of Bangladesh.
    Done all works related to preparation of PCP/DPP and submission for approval, preparation of technical specification of the accelerator and associated utilities/facilities including infrastructure requirements, evaluation of tender documents, signing of the contract with HVEE, The Netherlands for supply and installation, etc.
  2. IAEA TC project “Rehabilitation and Refurbishment of the 3 MV Van de Graaff Accelerator (BGD/4023: 2005-2006). (Project Director)
  3. MOSICT project “Renovation of 3 MV Van de Graaff Accelerator” (1999-2002. (Project Director)
  4. Set up of Accredited Chemistry laboratory in AECD for Quality certification of exportable fishes and other food items to meet up the demand of EU countries.
  5. Expansion and modernization of research (R&D) and service capabilities/facilities of AECD.
  6. Installation and commissioning of a Water Chiller supplied by IAEA under IAEA TC project BGD/2/009 (1993-94).
  7. IAEA TC project “Set up of Neutron Generator at INST, Savar for nuclear data measurement” BGD/7/008 (1981-83).
