  • Served as a coordinator in two consecutive international workshops organised by the Dept. of TVE, Islamic University of Technology (IUT) in 2010 and 2011 in association with ILO, UNESCO and IDB.
  • Worked as a team leader/ resource person/ coordinator in several international projects (university/ nationwide) in Bangladesh including KOICA VIC & VET Integration Project (2008-12), ILO TVET Reform Project (2010-12), IUTOnline Education (2016-18), and World Bank STEP Project (2018).

Collaborative Research & Project Engagement
• CGS-FES Future of Higher Education Project, 2018 - 2019: ICTE Specialist
Worked as an ICT Education specialist in this project funded by the Centre for Genocide Studies (CGS), Dhaka University and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES), Germany in order to provide options for competency-based online higher education to each and every aspirant student in Bangladesh.

• World Bank Skills & Training Enhancement Project (STEP), 2018: Resource Person
The TVE department of IUT signed a partnership agreement with Directorate of Technical Education, Bangladesh and World Bank aiming to enhance subject-based pedagogical/technical knowledge and skills of teachers. I worked as a resource person in the first trimester of this project.

• IUTOnline Education Project, 2016 – 2018: Coordinator and Main Architect
In 2016 I received a university grant for consolidating ‘IUT Online Platform’ using open source learning management (e.g. Moodle) and web-conferencing system (e.g. Bigbluebutton) and associated mobile apps for Android. I led a team of learning technologists and designers in developing the project and its smooth operation. I was also involved in training of teachers and staff on how to use IUTOnline.

• Virtual Classroom & VET Integration Project, 2012 - 2016: ICT Specialist and Trainer
I worked as an ICT specialist in setting up Virtual Classroom and VET Integration Project in Bangladesh and Australia respectively. After getting initial training I demonstrated its functionalities to several groups of teachers and staff through seminars/workshops. I also made significant contribution to the project integrating vocational components with academic programs through ODL, which was
published by the Australian Association for Research in Education (AARE) in 2014.

• ILO TVET Reform Project, 2011 – 2013: Resource Person
The ‘Technical & Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Reform Project’ proposed an integrated
curriculum model, which includes depth of disciplinary expertise, broader skills (e.g. problem solving, digital literacy), interdisciplinary effectiveness, cultural competence, an integrated professional, ethical and personal identity to make a positive contribution to the society. I was also engaged in the training program of this project to introduce different aspects of the new curriculum to the relevant stakeholders.

• Postgraduate Research, 2008 – 2011 and 2016 – 2018: Research Supervisor, IUT-OIC
I successfully supervised student groups of both Bachelor and Masters levels and also assisted them on field experience and professional development through peer reviewed publications.

• USAID VSAT Project at IUT-OIC, 2003 – 2004: Team Member
As a team member, I participated in the design and development of course materials on basics of computer applications and training of the teachers and students of 10 primary schools in Bangladesh.

under the Professional Certificate in Data Science / Analytics edX online in order to be recognised as a Microsoft Certified Data Scientist/Analyst, which enables data visualisation, gains insights of huge volume of data and assists decision makers.

Bangabandhu Digital University (BDU), Gazipur, Bangladesh,
Jan – May 2019 Team Leader, ICT Education Curriculum Development: Considering ICT Education (ICTE) for all background (Science, Arts & Commerce) students, I conceptualised the initial design of ICTE curriculum and then led a team of experts from across the country. In this competency based curriculum, the core part of education (e.g. curriculum, teaching methodologies) is merged with the applied ICT subjects (e.g. programming, networking)
along with a blended area (e.g. digital content design, learning management system). The study identified necessary competencies of a graduate that enable them to succeed in the competitive job market and to ease transition from education to workplace settings.

Islamic University of Technology (IUT), Gazipur, Bangladesh, 2016 - 2018 Founding Coordinator, IUTOnline Education Program: Worked as a Main Architect of IUTOnline and led a team in the development of IUTOnline Platform to make increased use of ICT in the delivery and support of teaching-learning. It has four different models of course delivery: (i) totally online; (ii) class telecasting live through YouTube/Facebook inside Moodle with instant formative quizzes through mobile apps, then recording and
editing for future reference; (iii) eCourseware development in a WordPress site of a completed course, similar to MIT/Harvard courseware, which includes lecture in one side
and presentation/whiteboard animation on the other side of a video; (iv) seminar series using IUTOnline server and digital smartboard of a class. (

Sep –Mar 2019 Research Fellow: CGS, Dhaka University & Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES), Germany Conducted empirical research on the Futures of Higher Education in Bangladesh. I particularly focused on various competency based online education options for Bangladesh including MOOCs for teachers’ professional development, online higher education for massive student population.
