Profile

Kazi Jahid Hasan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Multimedia and Creative Technology (MCT), Faculty of Science and Information Technology, Daffodil International University (DIU), Dhaka, Bangladesh. He teaches 3D design and modeling, lighting and rendering, texturing, industrial design and 3D printing, and user interface and experience design. His research covers human-computer interaction (HCI), augmented, virtual and mixed reality, immersive learning, 3D visualization, the digitization of cultural heritage, and the use of generative AI in 3D production pipelines. He holds a B.Sc. in Multimedia and Creative Technology (CGPA 3.95 out of 4.00, the highest in his department) and an M.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering (CGPA 3.81 out of 4.00), both from DIU. He is an Autodesk Certified User in Maya and an Adobe Certified Professional in Visual Design. He has co-authored 19 publications with publishers including Springer Nature, IET, IEEE and Atlantis Press, and has supervised more than 50 undergraduate projects, theses and internships. He is Member Secretary of the DIU AI Ethics and Implementation Committee and lead author of the DIU AI Ethics and Implementation Guideline v2.0.
